Sturdy, yet lightweight, the OMS aluminum backplate is ideal for twin, backmounted steel tanks, since any additional weight from the plate is not
necessary. Traveling divers who prefer a hard back plate also appreciate the lighter weight of an aluminum back plate. (1.75 lbs compared to
5.75 lbs) due to the new airline weight restrictions. Three center holes accommodate standard double tank bolt kits along with a bottom slot to
accommodate band bolts that are slightly off the standard 11″ center. 22 accessory holes along the perimeter of the plate allow for mounting
lights, pony bottles, lift bags and other accessories. One-inch and two-inch slots along the bottom permit diver’s choice of crotch straps. 3 sets of
two-inch slots along the center allow single-tank divers to use cam straps without a single tank adaptor. . OMS’s Superior deburring process
eliminates back plate sharp edges and prevents abrasion to webbing and BCâs. The surface of the OMS aluminum plate is also Hard Coat
Anodized to help prevent surface oxidation

innovated development.
In addition to the tunnels, it has a quick release chest strap, Oblique webbing with left and right quick releases, 2 adjustable chest mounted D
rings, 2 adjustable waist D rings, a 1 inch quick release crotch strap with sewn in Diver Propulsion Ring. It can be attached to any OMS stainless
steel or aluminum back plate as well as many others.
The hogarthian harness is a continuous piece of 2-inch webbing that has a total of five D-rings: one at each shoulder and one on the left waist,
one at the rear of the crotch strap plus the one at the front. The left shoulder has a bungee loop for use in retaining the BC inflation hose
assembly. The combination of the left shoulder and waist D-rings are used for carrying stage and deco bottles. The SPG is also clipped to the
waist D-ring. The crotch strap front D-ring is used when being towed by a DPV. The rear D-ring is used to carry additional equipment such as
