The Suunto Vyper is three instruments in one: Air, Nitrox, and Gauge. The Vyper features full-decompression capabilities and combines several
echnological innovations into one product. The Vyper offers everything a diver could possibly need for diving with standard
air or nitrox mixes. It can also be used as a depth gauge and timer with profile memory, making it ideal for professional and
technical diving.

In addition to having information available to you at all times, your Suunto Vyper records and stores data for later
analysis. You can view, compare, and analyze your diving performance through a specially designed PC interface

The Vyper is aimed at the sports diver who requires a PC interface and simulation features. Its greatest asset is that it
is simple to use and has an above-average, user-friendly manual. I put this down to the three-button layout, which allows
you to simply scroll through the various menu options and select the feature you require.

Another fantastic design feature that Suunto has added to the Vyper is its backlighting. This is
useful when the water is pitch black, for example, on a night dive or when inside a wreck. It uses the same RGBM
(reduced gradient bubble model) as other Suunto computers, which takes into account the potential formation of small
gas bubbles in the body.

Beyond all that, the Vyper is easy to read and displays the dive information in a clear and logical
fashion.
